Before going to Kyushu, Japan, there were friends telling me the scenery of Kyushu is unique, it’s different to Hokkaido and Tokyo (Japan Mainland). I have been to Hokkaido before, I love it, and hence I was very much looking forward to visit Kyushu, just to experience the different scenery of Japan.

Finally, I made it to Kyushu this year, from the Fukuoka to Nagasaki then Kumamoto, after that Miyazaki and going back to Fukuoka. I would say the scenery of Kyushu is so much picturesque and natural. I am amazed to the beauty of Mother Nature. There are night view of Nagasaki; the amazing volcano in Kumamoto and the natural beauty of the waterfall in Miyazaki. Along the route, there are so much greenery and mountain views, up and down, front and back, we had the close contact to this scenery especially through the train ride.

After the wonderful travelling through these places, finally we went back to Fukuoka. When we were talking about visit Japan, everyone said that we can not miss out the onsen. After a week of travelling, it was time for us to have a break. We decided to go to Nakagawa Seiryu Onsen. It’s very convenient to go to Nakagawa Seiryu Onsen as there is hourly bus round trip free ride from Fukuoka city. To us as visitor, it is really a must GO! We departed from Fukuoka city, took the free bus ride about 40 mins to arrive the onsen. We just rested in the bus, and the ride brought us from the noisy busy city and slowly entered the quiet and peaceful countryside. It is a special onsen resort hiding in the countryside. There are trees and greenery and the roads doesn't have much traffic. It is really gave us the feeling to get out from the city and going to the natural world.

When we arrived the Nakagawa Seiryu Onsen, I would say it is a nice place. Peace and quiet without any disturb. The resort is decorated with the Japan elements, with bamboo trees, stone patch roads, and small resting huts. It is just nice! Because we came as a family, we took the private room for the onsen. I love the private pool, it is not big, but had given us the privacy, especially to those shy one, hehe..

The private pool is equipped with all the necessity including shower area and lockers. The private pool is exposed without the roof. Because it is with the wall and barricaded from outside (else it is not private anymore). The pool was decorated nicely to have you the natural feeling, round stones and greenry plants. The weather was slightly cold, as it was just rained. Ahhhh you know, it is such a great experience when you can soak yourself inside the hot spring water while the weather was cooling down! Soaking inside the water, misty around you and head up was the sky! It was so enjoyable. Everyone of us enjoyed very much, as it was very relaxing and soothing. Not to say only the onsen is nice, but the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. It gives the very strong feels of Japan element. I would really strongly recommend everyone to have a visit to this Nakagawa Seiryu Onsen, you will not regret.

After the onsen, we had ourselves clean up, and walked around this resort. There were soothing music playing and resting area were provided. We had some snacks and continued to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

By the time we had enough rest, we just walked out from the resort and take the free bus ride back to the Fukuoka city. Honestly, with my limited experience with Japanese onsen, those I have had in Hokkaido and Kyushu, this Nakagawa Seiryu Onsen was considered the best among them all. Not to say the convenient of reaching (free bus ride), the location is hiding away from busy city, the atmosphere and the service provided are tip top. It has given me a wonderful experience of onsen in my trip to Kyushu Japan!
