清水竹灯り aka Bamboo light festival is an annual event in Ogi , Saga. Every year from 15Nov to 23rd Nov it will be held. This is my first time seeing Bamboo light up and was very amazed by how it's done. Not because they did the carving on the bamboos , but to light up so many candles every night for this event is a huge task, Yes it's not electric light bulbs but candles like those use in aromatherapy , there must be at least 1000s of it. and the grand finale is the light up at the waterfall. The other thing about visiting events like this in Japan is that , transport is well taken care of to prevent traffic jams. They provided free shuttle bus services at 2 different carparks to the event place.

Nagasaki - Mt Inasa night view aka the new top 3 night view of the world. we came up at night but i think it will be good to come in the late evening before dark as this place had a 360 degree view of Nagasaki.

which zoo offer you feeding of animals in their natural habitat and not cages ? Nagasaki Biopark , i totally recommend this place for families , esp with kids , they will have much fun with the animals.

Not to be missed is the A5 grade Saga beef .... you won't regret trying as the amount of fats is so tasty. best to grilled then put on top of your rice and the fats will go into the white rice. Try it at least once if you are in Saga.

Road Station Mizunashi Honjin at Shimabara , this shows how the volcano eruption cause the houses to be covered by the lavas and ashes. something you cannot imagine until you see the buildings yourself.

Shimeiso House at Shimabara , it's amazing that even though volcano causes harm but it also benefits in other ways , at shimabara , they have kois in the drains cos the water is that clean. At Shimeiso house , you can sit in the house and look at the pong full of kois and the nice lady will make tea ( foc ) for you. Think her name is Aiko chan ? very nice and friendly lady.

The moai of the East , Sun Messa Nichinan

Nabeiyaki waterfall - the waterfall where you can walk inside , it's like you can transform yourself instantly into Monkey King God cos he too stay in a Water Curtain Cave.

Sunrise and sea of cloud at Kunimigaoka , Takachiho. worth waking up at 6 am and bearing the 1 degree weather.

Cranes Observation Centre @ Izumi , Kagoshima , every year from Nov to March , there be more then 10 thousands of Cranes here during the winter migration.

Traditional BBQ aka kyodo Cuisine Takamori Dengakunosato in Takamori. Even though we do not know Japanese well but through the use of body langagues and some english , we still survived the meal, very interesting way of cooking the food and the staffs are very helpful in helping checking if the foods are cooked and they know we do not understand what had been told. This is somethign about travelling to Japan , fear not any language barrier. Things will still be able to communicated.

Yume kokonoe suspension bridge - funny picture , this means that if Godzilla is there , you are still taller then it , so you be safe on the bridge :)

Self drive is the best way to experience what Kyushu has to offer , maybe because we are city kids , so every turn , every mountain , every view just catches our breathe. If possible , do a self drive there and you can experience the real beauty of Kyushu.
