Kyomachi Onsen

Kyomachi Onsen is the largest hot spring town in Miyazaki Prefecture, which does not have many such towns. The hot spring source is located in Ebino City, on the border between Kagoshima and Kumamoto, near the south bank of Sendai River. It is alkali simple hot spring. After the first few hot springs opened in the early 20th century, the town gradually took shape as a hot spring town. The town is currently spotted with about 20 hot spring facilities including four free foot hot spring facilities and about 10 hot spring inns and hotels. Some of them are open from 6 AM and are perfect for those who love taking a bath in the morning.
Yoshida Onsen, located about 3 kilometers away from Kyomachi Onsen, is said to be the oldest hot spring town in the prefecture. The hot springs in the town have been known for their health effects and many people visited here for therapeutic purposes.
Kyomachi Onsen and Yoshida Onsen are both nestled in a laid back environment and perfect for those seeking for a relaxing time in a good quality hot spring. These towns are also connected by local trains to Kirishima Onsen and Hitoyoshi Onsen and can be a good place to include in the itinerary of your onsen trip.

I have to confess that my passion always is food, especially meat, then Miyazaki gyu (beef) had came to my mind and thought it must be a perfect combination with great beef and onsen. Kyomachi onsen made my dream come true! The ryokan (Japanese inn) served thick and tasty Miyazaki gyu which is of course perfect for me and after the dinner, ryokan staff advised me to go out so that I can see fireflies. It was such a peaceful and beautiful moment. This kind ryokan staff completed my stay in Kyomachi onsen excellently.
