    Mojiko
From the "Mojiko Retro Observation Room" you can see an amazing view overlooking both the Kanmon Strait and the Mojiko Port Retro District. From the glass observation room 103 meters off the ground, you can look out over the Kanmon Bridge and Shimonoseki City on the opposite shore. Gradually as the sun sets, the evening scenery, where the sky turns red, is breathtakingly beautiful. You can enjoy a romantic view at night when everything is lit up. Also, from the end of November until the middle of February, there is illumination and the streets of Mojiko shine more brightly.
  • Nakatsu
Nakatsu's local specialty "karaage" (fried chicken) features a spicy, garlicky seasoning. The chicken is soaked in a soy sauce based marinade so the delicious flavor soaks into the meat. It is good freshly fried and hot but it was devised so that it can be enjoyed even after cooling, so it is also good for take out. Since there is a "Karaage Map" pamphlet at tourist information offices and the like, you can have the map in one had as you enjoy walking around and eating karaage.

Matama Beach in Bungotakada City is the only place in Oita Prefecture where you can see the sun setting over the horizon. Also chosen as one of the "100 Sunsets in Japan," on clear evenings, when the sun goes down, the beauty as the area all around turns bright red is fascinating. At Matama Beach, all the sea water does not disappear even at low tide and a tidal flat is left with a little bit of water. It attracts a lot of photographers and tourists because you can take a fantastic picture of the shallow tidal flats and the golden shining waters reflecting the sunset.

In the evening, you can see the fantastically lit-up hot water running green and blue. Beppu is an unusual night view spot that you cannot see elsewhere. The local specialty, "toriten," (chicken tempura) is different from "karaage" (fried chicken) because of its characteristic breading made from flour and egg. The fluffy breading and crispy frying is different depending on the shop and you can taste it with vinegar soy sauce and mustard.

Eboshi, Kusasenri, a prairie about 1 km in diameter, spreads out. There is a big pond in the center of the site of the crater, and the idyllic landscape with a grazing horse eating grass slowly is the representative scenery of Aso. Also, blessed with water and grass, the beef raised in Aso, "Aka Ushi" is used to make famous food. The lean, juicy beef has less fat so it is popular with women.

4th day

  • Start Sasebo

    Sasebo
The cruising tour of Kujuku Island in Saikai National Park by pleasure boat is popular. The course is about 50 minutes long and you can feel the beauty of the richly expressive Kujuku Island from up close. We also recommend sunset cruises operating for a limited time according to the sunset time. One of the cultures born under the influence of the US Navy after World War II is the "Sasebo Burger." There are so many things stuffed into this big-size hamburger that they are sticking out and they are made one by one by hand. About 20 Sasebo Burger certified shops are located in the city.
  • Nagasaki
One of Nagasaki's most stunning views is Gunkanjima or "Battleship Island" (Hashima Island), in the sea about 19 km from Nagasaki Port. The island which once prospered with marine coal mines has been uninhabited since its closing about 40 years ago. Because it looks like a battleship when seen from the sea, it is called Gunkanjima or "Battleship Island." It was also registered as a World Cultural Heritage site in 2015 so its popularity is increasing more and more. If you join a tourist cruise, you can see it and there are courses through which you can land on the island, and courses where you can view it from the sea, etc. After the cruise, fill your stomach with famous Champon from shops all around Nagasaki starting with Chinatown.
